These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all services and deliveries provided by Seeland Camp B. Grütter Grindat, Switzerland ("the Provider"), in particular to bookings and stays at our campsite. By making a booking or using our services, you accept these GTC in full.
The contract between you (the customer or guest) and the Provider is concluded through your booking and our acceptance of the booking. The booking confirmation is generally sent by e-mail.
Please refer to the respective offer description for details of our camping services and prices. All prices are quoted in Swiss francs (CHF) and include the statutory value added tax (VAT).
The (down) payment is due upon completion of the booking and is made by credit card, TWINT or PostFinance. For booking, check-in and payment processing, the Provider uses the Pay&Stay system solution by Campsoft.ch. Payments are processed in the name and on behalf of ShopOnDemand GmbH, which acts as the payment intermediary.
If you cancel your booking, the following cancellation fees apply:
Minimum cancellation fee: 20 CHF / group bookings 50 CHF
Up to 1 month before arrival: 5 % cancellation fee
30 to 15 days before arrival: 20 % cancellation fee
14 to 8 days before arrival: 30 % cancellation fee
7 to 1 day (until 11 a.m.) before arrival: 50 % cancellation fee
1 day before (from 11 a.m.) or no-show: No refund
This is without prejudice to further provisions in cases of force majeure (see Section 5).
5.1. Definition of force majeure — 5.1.1. Force majeure refers to events that lie outside our sphere of influence and that render the fulfilment of our contractual obligations impossible or unreasonable. These include, in particular but not exclusively, natural disasters, fires, pandemics, epidemics, war, terrorist attacks, official measures (e.g. operating or travel bans) and comparable, unforeseeable events. — 5.1.2. If a case of force majeure occurs that impairs the operation of our campsite or makes it impossible for guests to arrive or stay, the following provisions take effect.
5.2. Refund arrangement — 5.2.1. Value vouchers — In the event of a temporary or permanent closure of operations or an officially ordered restriction connected with force majeure, no cash refunds will be made. Instead, affected guests will receive value vouchers from us in the amount of the payment already made. — 5.2.2. Period of validity — These value vouchers are valid for a period of 48 months from the date of issue. The vouchers are transferable and can be used for any available accommodation or any available pitch at our campsite.
5.3. Rebooking — 5.3.1. Rebooking option — Provided the guest does not wish to use the voucher, the stay may be rebooked to a later period without additional fees. — 5.3.2. Price differences — For rebookings, the prices and conditions of the new travel period apply. Any price differences are to be borne by the guest or, where applicable, credited. — 5.3.3. Deadlines and availability — The rebooking must be carried out within the stated period of validity (48 months). The completion of the rebooking depends on the availability of the desired accommodation or pitches.
5.4. Exceptions and goodwill arrangements — 5.4.1. Cases of hardship — In special cases of hardship credibly substantiated by the guest (e.g. serious personal or financial circumstances), we reserve the right to find an individual goodwill solution by mutual agreement. — 5.4.2. Joint consultation — Before deciding on a deviating arrangement, we contact the guest in order to examine the situation and agree on a fair solution. In individual cases this may also include a (partial) refund of the amount already paid. — 5.4.3. Procedure — In order to claim goodwill, the guest must promptly contact our customer service and submit corresponding evidence or justifications. — 5.4.4. Discretion — A claim to a deviating arrangement exists only if we expressly agree to it within the scope of goodwill. Otherwise, the provisions on vouchers and rebookings continue to apply.
5.5. Limitation of liability in cases of force majeure — 5.5.1. No compensation for consequential damages — We assume no liability for any consequential damages, lost holiday enjoyment or other indirect damages arising from force majeure or official requirements. — 5.5.2. Statutory provisions — This GTC provision does not affect the guest's mandatory statutory claims. Insofar as statutory provisions provide for more extensive liability, these take precedence. — 5.5.3. Insurance recommendation — In order to reduce risks for both parties, we recommend taking out suitable travel insurance (e.g. pandemic cases, cancellations).
6.1. Scope of liability — The Provider is liable only for damages based on an intentional or grossly negligent breach of duty by the Provider itself, its legal representatives or vicarious agents. For slight negligence, liability arises only in the event of a breach of essential contractual obligations. — 6.2. Exclusion of liability for personal belongings — The Provider assumes no liability for lost, stolen or damaged personal belongings of guests (e.g. valuables, cash, equipment). We recommend storing valuables securely and, where appropriate, taking out suitable insurance. — 6.3. Supervision of children — Parents or legal guardians are liable for their children. Children must be appropriately supervised at all times on the campsite and in the communal areas. — 6.4. Pets — Pets are permitted only by prior arrangement and must always be kept on a leash on the campsite. The owner is liable for all damage caused by the animal.
7.1. Quiet hours — From 10 p.m. to 7 a.m., night-time quiet applies throughout the entire campsite. During this period, excessive noise is to be avoided so as not to disturb the night-time quiet of other guests. — 7.2. Cleaning and waste — Every guest is obliged to keep their pitch or accommodation clean. Waste must be disposed of in the containers provided for this purpose. — 7.3. Arrival and departure — Arrival and departure times depend on the season and are shown on the booking confirmation.
8.1. Place of jurisdiction and applicable law — Swiss law applies exclusively. The place of jurisdiction is at the Provider's registered office in Switzerland. — 8.2. Severability clause — Should a provision of these GTC be or become invalid, the contract shall otherwise remain effective. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a provision that comes closest to the economic purpose of the invalid provision.

This privacy policy applies to all data collected and processed by Seeland-Camp.ch, Switzerland ("we", "us") in connection with bookings, stays and the online offering.
We collect and use your data exclusively for the processing of the contract, the provision of our customer service and for internal analysis purposes. When you visit our website, technical information such as your IP address, the date and time of access and the pages viewed may be stored in our logs.
Your data will not be disclosed to third parties unless this is necessary for the fulfilment of the contract, required for compliance with legal provisions, or you have expressly consented. In particular, the disclosure of your personal data to ShopOnDemand GmbH (CampSoft.ch/PaySoft.ch) as well as to affiliated service providers takes place exclusively for the purpose of booking and payment processing as well as, in anonymised form, for statistical surveys (e.g. HESTA / BfÜ). Any further use of your data by these parties is excluded unless required by law or covered by separate consents.
